Poppet Valves
Hydraulic poppet valves are a type of valve used in hydraulic systems to control the flow of fluid. They operate using a poppet, a movable element that seals against a seat to block or allow fluid flow. Poppet valves are known for their robust design, quick response times, and ability to handle high flow rates and pressures. At Flowfit, we are proud to offer a diverse range of poppet valves from the renowned manufacturer Oleodinamica Marchesini.
Hydraulic Poppet Valves
The most simple type of directional Control, typically a 2 way, 2 position solenoid Valve is a valve which is electrically controlled with the aid of a solenoid often referred to as a 2/2 Valve, the phrase 2 way means that the valve has two ports, an input and an output, and two positions (closed/open). If the valve is normally closed, this means that the valve is closed when de-energized and open when energized, a normally open valve is open when de-energised and closed when energised. They can also be free flow in one direction whilst block in the other these will have a single poppet, double poppets will be normally open or closed in both directions until energised, both single poppet and double poppet style can be used in hydraulic systems with other valve combinations to control flow, direction and pressure.
